Phoenix Art Museum was founded in 1949 and opened in 1959. Displays different exhibitions and events throughout the year. Currently, there are over 13,000 pieces of artwork. Open everyday except Mondays and major holidays. Narrated tours are available. At over 160,000 square feet, it is one of the largest general visual arts institutions in the Southwest.
